iPad 3 and iPhone 5 |
The US retail giant Walmart is putting forth some competitive prices to lure Apple fans away from other retailers, including Apple’s own shops, by selling subsidized iPhone 5s at considerable discounts. Customers walking into the stores will be able to purchase the newest Apple iPhone for as little as $129 and the third-generation iPad for $399 (or $100 off) at Walmart. Note that the offer is only available in stores and not online.
This iPhone is with a two-year contract with AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint, but the iPad is free of any carrier subsidies. It is worth note that even with the $129 price, Apple’s iPhone 5 is still cheaper unlocked (at $649). Doing away with the two-year carrier contract will still save you more money in the long run.
